The Peak Academy is extremely proud to announce that two of our fantastic students have been shortlisted for recognition at the 2019 Engage in Their Future National Awards. Lottie and Kieran will represent our school in the good citizen award and outstanding personal progress categories respectively.
The pupils were nominated by two members of staff at The Peak, Hazel Loveridge and Inge Medlow. They said: “Both of these nominations were easy to make as they embody the Peak values and ethos. We’re both so proud to be part of their success.”
Lottie and Kieran will be competing against students from across the country, with the winners being selected by Engage in Their Future’s National Awards judging panel.
Lynn Richards, Chair of the National Awards judging panel, said: “Every student nominated has made great progress or achieved something amazing and fully deserves to have their accomplishments recognised on a national platform as part of this unique scheme. It is clear from the evidence submitted that the students’ success stories are the result of hard work and determination.”
Engage in Their Future is a charitable organisation that seeks to improve services for children experiencing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). It was formed to enable head teachers working within SEMH education to address and influence issues affecting the sector locally, regionally, and nationally.
Now in its ninth year, the charity’s National Awards is open to all member schools from across the organisation’s national network. The National Awards acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of students, be it as individuals, teams, or as a school.
Nominations can be submitted in any one of nine categories:
- Outstanding Personal Progress
- Outstanding Achievement
- Outstanding Personal Resilience
- Good Citizen Award
- Innovation and Creativity
- Team of the Year
- International Award
- Sports Student of the Year Award
- Success Story
Lottie and Kieran will find out if they have been chosen as winners in their category at the 2019 National Awards ceremony, which takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon on Wednesday 3rd July.
We are so proud of both Lottie and Kieran, and everyone at The Peak wishes them the best of luck at the awards.
