Josh Connolly shared his live experiences with the Peak staff, it was an inspirational and powerful talk.
As a staff team we value these opportunities to take the time and reflect on our own practice and how we can support young people during challenging times. Being the consistent force is the most important aspect whilst building positive relationships.
Josh was around 25 on the day he walked into Nacoa (The National Association for Children of Alcoholics). At that point, he had been in recovery from his own alcohol problem for a year and was looking to do some voluntary work, to give back.
At that time, he would have told you that he had lived a good childhood. The National Association for Children of Alcoholics helped Josh Connolly confront his past, and now he's helping others like him with his blog, COAisathing.https://www.joshconnolly.co.uk/
