In using their initiative and creativity to solve problems, engineers play a major part in improving the lives of people all around the world. From manufacturing the chemicals that go into our medicines to building the bridges that get us from A to B, the spectrum of engineering is wide-ranging.
At The Peak Academy , we believe that all aspects of the industry should be celebrated and that’s why we’re proud to be getting involved with National Engineers Week! The field of engineering is the magic combination of Science and Maths. Both subjects are key to our curriculum and are essential knowledge for all children living in our modern world.
Problem solving is a valuable skill for all ages. In secondary school, children are learning more about all aspects of design and technology. By letting pupils find out more about how engineering can be used to tackle real-world problems, they are able to see maths and science in action!
As we show our appreciation for the engineering industry this week, we hope to inspire a generation of future engineers and give our pupils the head start they need to develop the technical skills to succeed in their careers later in life.
