My name is Ashton and I am proud to have been elected as this year's Head Pupil at The Peak Academy.
I am in Year 10 and have been a pupil at The Peak Academy for 4 years.
I have enjoyed my time at the school immensely and prior to being elected as Head Pupil I have played an important role on the Pupil Council for 2 years. I have been both a Tutor Group Representative and the Science Curriculum Lead.
I was elected Deputy Head Pupil last year so I feel I am experienced in taking on a role of such responsibility.
I enjoy being a pupil at The Peak Academy because the staff at the school all know every pupil so well and help them to achieve to their best ability. We are a very strong and caring community.
The staff ensure we work hard in lessons but The peak Academy also provides many opportunities for rewards. There are a range of Outdoor activities such as a residential trip to Wales in the Summer and Outdoor Education throughout the year.
My favourite subjects are: Science, Maths and Food Technology. The teachers are kind, make the lessons fun and show you how to do things properly.
Our days are always well organised and have clear routines so we always know what we are doing. This means we are well prepared for learning.
I think I may like to join the Army when I leave so the discipline in the school has given me a good grounding for future success in this area and I have become very fit since I first joined the school!
I am very much looking forward to being the Head Pupil of The Peak Academy.
