Decorate a Reindeer competition

18 December 2019
Decorate a Reindeer competition

Over the last two weeks staff, students and friends of The Peak have been tasked with decorating a MDF reindeer. These were kindly donated to the school and have caused lots of excitement.

As part of an Art and DT House competition students were given access to a range of resources including, tissue paper, paint, oil pastels, posca pens, glitter, pipe cleaners, pom poms, gems, sticky back plastic, foam, felt, buttons, wood, ribbon etc.

The only rule was they were not allowed to have a brown reindeer and had to use their imagination. Everybody got fully involved and even spent break and lunch times constructing their creations. Some even worked on them at home.

Reindeer have literally taken over The Peak with nearly 100 entries.

Mr Evans and Mr Miller were given the hard task of judging these. There were three categories, staff, students and friends of The Peak. Each had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. There were a wide range of ages, ability and materials used, and a lot of imagination and creativity was shown by all. Everyone who entered should be very proud and will be able to take them home to add to the festive decorations for years to come.

Each winner will receive a prize and certificate. As well as house points for the students.

The Winners are:

Students:

1st - Oliver W (cook 500)

2nd - Kyle G (Bly 300)
