The Pupil Council met on July 3rd to address actions from the previous meeting and discuss ideas for continuing to raise standards across the Academy.
The council discussed a range of topics but had a real focus on identifying pupils, support staff and teachers who are worthy of awards for the outstanding contributions they have made to the Academy this year. We discussed the value that these individuals bring to the academy and it was heart-warming to be made aware of so many with so much talent. This will be celebrated in our Awards Assembly at the end of term.
Impressive communication and listening skills were evident as always as the pupils discussed their ideas for further developments at The Peak.
In September the current Pupil Council will present a Whole- school assembly explaining the impact of an effective pupil voice. Following this there will be elections to form the Pupil Council for 2018 – 2019.
