Forest School Update 7th June 2019

The first week back after half term has been completed, and Friday’s arrival meant that the group were again embarking on another session.

Unfortunately, we were face with a grey and dreary start to the day, which only got worse. Despite the adverse weather conditions with a little encouragement and motivation the group managed to work through the rain which only got heavier and heavier.

The effort and hard work of the group not only meant we managed to create a substantial fire to boil the water for the drinks, cook marshmallows over and make bread dampers to dip in jam. Alongside this the group managed to pull and make a small shelter for us to hide under as the rain increased.

A great morning was had by all, because they all worked as a team and took the advice of the staff and wore the correct outdoor kit to stay warm and dry.
