It been a busy first week back in the art room, with pupils successful firings being taken home proudly, like Cam and his day of the dead skull.
What a wonderful way to finish the term, watching Donard’s sea creature tiles come out of the kiln safely ready for glazing.
Donard have been busy, using the windows and doors as light boxes, as we are having such a beautiful bright day here in the art room.

Fantastic printing work done today from year 10 Jordan, who is researching the works of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and developing work using his iconic structures.
Scarfell, Skiddaw, Baystones and Donard students have been busy in the art room marbling paper so they can make baubles from them.
Year 9 Harry Bowd has completed a piece of work to make everyone smile.

After a very fruitful year in the Art department, I want to congratulate every pupil in their hard work and determination, and wish everyone a lovely summer break.
Although a lot of washing of hands, smudging and mess occurred, pupils were really pleased with their final pieces.
The Greenfield Academy is currently based at The Peak Academy in Dursley. Pupils from both schools are working together as Peak pupils until the new Greenfield Academy school has been built.
